What is a QR Code?

QR Code is short for Quick Response Code, and that’s just what you get from it. That unique pattern of black geometric shapes up there is just a button’s push away from leading you to a web page, a video, an application, or any other type of Internet-based content. So how does it work? Who knows? We’re not scientists! But we can tell you how to use it. All you need is a Smart Phone or other Smart Device. An iPhone, iPad, Droid, Nook, Kindle and other Android based phones and tablets can all be used to interact with QR Codes.

Depending on your operating system, there are different applications you can download to your device. In fact, one might have already come installed when you bought your phone. If you use an iPhone, some free QR Code readers you can find in the App Store are NeoReader, BarCode, and ScanLife. If you went with a Droid instead, you can use Google Goggles, which usually comes already installed. Blackberry user? You can download ScanLife or QR Code Scanner Pro. And if you use Windows Mobile, you can scan QR Codes with your Bing search application.
